Next Generation Energy® is proud to announce that our "net-zero" Sungalow™ has garnered the 2008 Colorado Renewable Energy Society (CRES) award for sustainable building practices in the residential category.
Our Sungalow™ has been recognized by numerous environmental groups and media outlets for its utilization of renewable energy systems and environmentally sustainable building practices. These include using recycled and natural materials that are produced locally instead of being shipped in from around the country and the world. These smart building practices reduce the carbon footprint of the home even more than just utilizing site-generated renewable energy systems. There are plenty of those as well though, including photovoltaic and solar thermal systems that produce all the electricity, hot water, and heating for the home year-round. The Sungalow™ also utilizes a water recycling system know as Brac greywater system that recycles water from the showers into the toilets and saves approximately 30% on water usage.

Here are just a few of the media stories written about the Sungalow™.
